Workshops

Workshop Policies

Please follow our policies so we can provide a better service.

General Information

  1. Most workshops are approximately 60-90 minutes in duration.
  2. Seating begins 15 minutes prior to workshop commencement.
  3. Workshop attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior registration is not required.
  4. As a courtesy to the trainer and other workshop attendees, admittance is allowed only during the first 15 minutes of the workshop.
  5. No food or drinks are allowed in the training labs.
  6. All cell phones, pagers, and audible devices must be turned off or set to vibration mode during the workshop.
  7. Workshop attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own storage drives (i.e., USB flash or pen drives) to save their work.
  8. Eligible attendees include:
    1. CSULA matriculated students with a CSULA Network/E-mail account and both of the following:
      • Cal State L.A. One Card or a State photo ID (e.g., California driver's license or state-issued identification card).
      • Current quarter schedule printout from GET.
    2. CSULA faculty and staff members with a CSULA Network/E-mail account and a Cal State L.A. One Card.
  9. The following are not eligible: ELP, alumni, Open University, or other CSU campus students.

Workshop Materials

  1. All handouts and Microsoft Office workbooks are for in-class use only. All materials must be returned at the end of the workshop.
  2. To acquire a digital copy of the training materials used in workshops, please visit http://www.calstatela.edu/handouts.

Certificate of Completion

  1. A certificate of completion is presented to those who attend all parts of the following Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), SPSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash workshops.
  2. To be eligible for the certificate of completion, all parts of the series must be completed during one single quarter. There are no exceptions.
  3. The certificate of completion can be claimed at the conclusion of the last series workshop, pending verification of attendance.
  4. Unclaimed certificates are discarded at the end of each quarter.

Note This certificate is not an official Microsoft, Adobe, or SPSS Certification or equivalent. It is simply proof that you have attended ITS Training Program workshops.
