Microsoft Word 2003


Microsoft Word 2003 is the popular word processor bundled in Microsoft Office 2003, a widely used office productivity software. In our six part workshop we will guide you through using this software, from its basic feature, to more advance tools and functions. Below is a description to each part along with its training dates, time and location.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 1
Introduction to Word 2003 -- This session is for those who have not used Microsoft Word 2003 before. In this part, you will explore Word windows and new features in 2003. You will learn how to use basic document skills to create a document, use basic text editing to format various items, how to print, and get help from Word Office Assistant.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 2
Formatting Documents-- Spice up your work! In this workshop, you will learn how to make your documents standout with a variety of formatting tools. Learn how to format characters, paragraphs, the whole document including how to customize the style attributes.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 3
Document Appearance-- Learn how to enhance the appearance of your document by using tab stops and paragraph indentations. Instructions on how to use numbers and bulleted lists will also be covered.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 4
Managing Documents -- You will learn how to manage multiple files, work with different Document Views, and how to insert Headers and Footers, date, and page numbers. You will also learn how to manipulate your document with different types of section breaks and page breaks.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 5
Working with Tables- You can further enhance the appearance of a document by using tables. You can use tables to sort data items to organize the page layout, and to display information with attractive borders and shading. A new feature on how to import and manipulate Excel spreadsheets in Word tables will also be covered.

Microsoft Word 2003 Part 6
Using Word Helpers-- Word allows you to easily create memos and other types of documents using Templates and Wizards. You will learn how to create attractive documents by inserting graphics. Plus, learn how to utilize Spelling and Grammar check and customize Word preferences.
