Reading and Printing the Workbooks

The purpose of this page is to view or print the workbooks and download the data files for MS Word XP, MS Excel XP, MS PowerPoint XP, MS Access XP and MS FrontPage XP. Under each topic, there are tables divided up into three columns:  Parts, Lessons, and Data Files. The Parts column is to identify the individual parts of each Workbook. The Lessons column contains links that allow you to view or print the individual lessons for each part in Acrobat Reader. The Data Files column consists of links to an instruction page for downloading the Data files to work with the Workbooks.

Note:
Authentication is required to access these workbooks. Currently enrolled students may login with their NIS accounts

To print or view any lessons from the workbooks, click on the lesson number in the lesson column from the tables below. This will launch Adobe Acrobat Reader allowing you to print the lesson by clicking on the Print button in the Acrobat toolbar.

If you are using Netscape and experience problems downloading the Data Files, we recommend you use Internet Explorer.

After printing you may return to this page by clicking on the Back button from the browser toolbar.

Microsoft Word XP

MS Word is a full-featured word processing program that offers a range of options for creating various types of documents such as reports, memos, pamphlets, and much more.  Using a variety of text, graphics, tables, and other features to create and enhance the document appearance in an easy-to-use format.  MS Word is also equipped with help facilities that cover an extensive Help indexes by category or keyword.

MS Excel XP is a software application that can be used as a spreadsheet, database, or graphing program. The spreadsheet portion of Excel allows you to perform sophisticated calculations and create formulas that automatically calculate answers. The data management capability allows you to manipulate lists of information. You can use information from a spreadsheet or database to create charts.

Microsoft PowerPoint XP is a graphic presentation package that allows you to create, edit, and print dynamic and powerful slide shows, handouts and speaker notes. You can use PowerPoint for formal, informal, and online presentations. The workbook has been divided into six parts.

Microsoft Access XP

Microsoft Access XP is a computerized Database Management System (DBMS). It allows storing, organizing, searching and sorting a large number of data. Access also provides functions of forms and reports to present data in different manners. The workbook has been divided into six parts.

MS FrontPage ^TM is a software application for creating and modifying entire Web sites or single Web pages.  The workshop is divided into six parts.  Below is the description of each part.
