Reading and Printing the Workbooks

The purpose of this page is to view or print the workbooks and download the data files for MS Word 2000, MS Excel 2000, MS PowerPoint 2000, MS Access 2000 and MS FrontPage 2000. Under each topic, there are tables divided up into three columns:  Parts, Lessons, and Data Files. The Parts column is to identify the individual parts of each Workbook. The Lessons column contains links that allow you to view or print the individual lessons for each part in Acrobat Reader. The Data Files column consists of links to an instruction page for downloading the Data files to work with the Workbooks.

Note:
Authentication is required to access these workbooks. Currently enrolled students may login with their NIS accounts

To print or view any lessons from the workbooks, click on the lesson number in the lesson column from the tables below. This will launch Adobe Acrobat Reader allowing you to print the lesson by clicking on the Print button in the Acrobat toolbar.

If you are using Netscape and experience problems downloading the Data Files, we recommend you use Internet Explorer.

After printing you may return to this page by clicking on the Back button from the browser toolbar.

Microsoft Word 2000

MS Word ^TM is a word processing program that offers a range of options for creating documents using text, graphics, tables, and other functions in an easy-to-use format. The workbook has been divided into six parts.

MS Excel ^TM is a software application that can be used as a spreadsheet, database, or graphing program.   The spreadsheet portion of Excel allows you to perform sophisticated calculations and create formulas that automatically calculate answers.  The data management capability allows you to manipulate lists of information.  You can use information from a spreadsheet or database to create charts.

MS PowerPoint ^TM is a graphic presentation package that allows you to create, edit, and print slides, handouts and speaker notes. The workbook has been divided into six parts.

Microsoft Access 2000

MS Access ^TM is a computerized Database Management System (DBMS).  It stores and retrieves data and presents information.  Access makes repetitive tasks such as maintaining payable accounts, inventory control and scheduling easier to do.  Access is capable of developing programs to use input forms to process your data and run powerful reports on them.

MS FrontPage ^TM is a software application for creating and modifying entire Web sites or single Web pages.  The workshop is divided into six parts.  Below is the description of each part.
