Microsoft Excel 2003


Microsoft Excel 2003 is a software application that can be used as a spreadsheet, database, or graph program. This workshop is divided into six parts. Below is a description for each part.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 1
Introduction to Excel 2003 -- In Part One, you will learn some basic workbook skills such as creating and saving a new workbook, opening an existing workbook, editing cell entries, and printing. Also, you will learn how to work with data ranges.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 2
Formatting Worksheet-- In Part Two, you will learn how to make your worksheet stand out using a variety of text and number formats. We will also teach you how to format cells, and how to apply conditional formats.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 3
Managing Worksheet-- In Part Three, you will learn how to manage large worksheets and multiple worksheets. You will also learn how to manipulate columns and rows, including how to copy and move data, as well as worksheets.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 4
Using Formulas and Functions-- In Part Four, you utilize your worksheet to do a variety of calculations by learning about Formulas and Functions as well as how to use the Paste Special feature.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 5
Creating Charts-- In Part Five, learn how to use the information created in an Excel spreadsheet to create a variety of Excel charts such as Bar, Line, and Pie by using the Chart Wizard. You will also learn how to edit and modify a chart, including how to draw an object in your chart or spreadsheet.

Microsoft Excel 2003 Part 6
Database Management-- A database is a method for organizing, manipulating, and retrieving a list of information. In Part Six, you will learn how to use an Excel worksheet to create and store a database. Once you create a database, you can enter, edit, filter, or sort the data. You will also be able to practice how to use the Page Setup.
